The Ogden Association of the Blind, also known as OAB, is a membership organization of blind, visually impaired and sighted individuals who seek to improve the lives of people with various degrees of vision loss in Ogden, Utah and the surrounding region. The OAB originated as Ogden Chapter No. 4, Utah Association for the Blind, Inc. on May 29th, 1936. This makes it one of the oldest organizations serving the blind and visually impaired in the state of Utah. It then became the Ogden Association of the Blind recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)(3) charity on July 1st, 1991.

We provide social, educational, and recreational activities along with classes to promote independent living skills on an as-needed basis in a classroom environment. Most of the training is done at our meeting place during classes, and not at member's homes.

The OAB is recognized by the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, which allows donations to the OAB to be tax deductible. Our members pay a small annual fee, but we primarily depend on grants, private donations, and fundraising events during the year to provide the funding for our many social activities, programs and classes.
